Work has already begun on updates to the iconic entry gates that welcome guests as they enter the Walt Disney World Resort complex from various entry points.
The Disney Parks Blog announced on Monday that the giant gates over and around several of the roads at the entrances to Walt Disney World, including on World Dr and Hotel Plaza Blvd, would receive updates to match the new color scheme received by Cinderella Castle in anticipation of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the resort.
In addition to a new paint scheme, the 'cloud castle' from the center of the gates will be removed in favor of shimmering flags.
